Detoxification Diet for Clear Skin

A Natural Yet Powerful Treatment for Acne

A healthy diet can help you fight acne

Consider a detoxification diet to clear your skin. And by “diet,” I don’t mean a one-time recipe to eliminate pimples.

I’m talking about a lifestyle change to completely eliminate acne. This involves detoxing regularly. It also means committing to healthy food choices that improve the functioning of your entire body.

Why should you explore a detoxification diet for clear skin as your acne treatment?

  • It’s a natural cure for acne that can be easier on your budget.
  • You’ll avoid becoming immune to acne medications and requiring stronger doses.
  • You can determine food sensitivities by knowing your food intake.
  • You’ll feel great – more energetic, stronger, and happier.
If you’re new to detoxification diets, this is how it works. First, it gets rid of toxins. Second, it provides nutrients for repair at the cellular level. Both work to restore balance to your body.

Toxins can cause your skin to develop a dull, lackluster appearance riddled with blemishes. How is this possible? Let’s dig beneath the surface – literally.

By attacking the source (toxins), you’ll be free of the symptom (acne)

Toxins accumulate in major organs like your liver, kidneys, lungs, and skin. They accumulate from processed foods, refined sugar, or chemicals in your surroundings. Even chemicals used to cleanse or treat your skin topically can add to the level of toxins in your system.

Flushing out toxins

Many diseases develop from unclean organs. The most obvious one is your colon. It makes sense. If you think about it, waste that stays in your intestines has nowhere else to go but back into your body.

That is why it is so important to have regular bowel movements. You need to eliminate all that deadly waste from your body.

In the same way, major organs in your body need to be cleaned out on a regular basis. Like your liver or kidneys.

We really should be doing this naturally with lots of fruits, veggies, and water. This was a common practice decades ago. But today is often phased out in our modern fast-paced world.

A detoxification diet will flush these toxins out. Once the acid/alkaline balance is restored to your body, your skin will look clear, healthy and vibrant.

Here's an excellent e-book with a clear skin detox routine that you can follow. Personally, I juice fruits and vegetables every day as a part of my acne treatment. I had cystic acne as a teen and into my adulthood. For nearly 20 years I struggled with shame. I have tried everything!

I did have some success with certain products along my journey to clear skin. But nothing has worked quite like juice cleansing to clear my skin.

Read here about my story and how I finally eliminated my acne.

You ARE What You Eat

Sound familiar?

Well, it’s true. Your outside appearance tells you what’s going on inside.

For instance, eczema can be an outward sign of food allergies (typically dairy products). Yellow skin is an outward sign of liver infection.

Skin problems are mostly an outward sign of some imbalance or deficiency in the body.

The good news is that your body is capable of healing. In fact, medical professionals agree that the human body is actually capable of living for 130 to 150 years! The trouble is, we don’t look after it!

We live in a world of fast foods and fast living. The food we eat is either processed or has preservatives. It’s no wonder disease is so rampant. Did you know that the latest health concern in North America is Type II diabetes in children? Completely avoidable!

The body is a machine – a very complex one. And the best way to care for it is regularly and over the long-term. Every part of your body has a specific purpose and works together seamlessly as long as you maintain it, like you would with your car or home.

Make the decision to eat as much raw fruits and vegetables as possible. You will see a change in the health of your skin.

Consider using a detoxification diet on a regular basis. This will allow you to keep your body healthy and skin glowing.

There are many different types of detox regimens you can follow to cleanse and nourish your body. There are detox diets for your liver, gallbladder, or kidneys. But don’t overdo it. If you’re a beginner, start off slow.

Choose a detoxification diet that meets your specific needs. If you are juice cleansing, ensure it is combined with the correct foods to maintain balance in your body.

Whichever diet you choose, ensure that it contains organic fruits and veggies. This way you can avoid ingesting any more toxins.

If you cannot afford organic produce or it’s not available, be sure to peel the skin off before juicing. The peels usually have a high concentration of pesticides and other chemicals.

What can you expect after detoxing?

You may experience some minor side effects in the beginning. This might include weight loss, headaches, and fatigue. Generally, once this diet is completed, these side effects disappear. You also should drink lots of water to help flush out the toxins.

Be sure to discuss any concerns you may have with your primary health care provider or a naturopathic doctor before beginning a diet for detoxification purposes.

There’s a lot to know about detoxifying for clear skin. If you want to be certain about proven food combinations and detox recipes, follow an established cleansing and detoxification diet in this e-book.
