A bump that does not want to go away

I have suffered with acne since I was 10. I'm 20 now and I think this disease is the most frustrating. I never want to go out. Some has cleared up a bit but there is this bump that is just there. I didn't try to pop it or anything and it just wouldn't go away. I got a bit darker and it just stahds out. What can I do? I find myself sad and frustrated all the time. Please help me.

Yvette's reply: Sally, it's good that you didn't try to pop the zit. I would just leave it alone. The best thing to do is keep your hands away from your face.

There are many treatments you can try depending on what your preference is. If you want to try a simple over the counter treatment, try Benzoyl Peroxide cream.

If you want to use a more natural approach, try applying lemon juice each morning and night to your acne. This will help for mild to moderate type acne. For more severe acne, you may need to radically change your lifestyle or seek some advice on medications.
